UNABLE TO POST TO WA DUE TO EXTENSIVE POSTAL DELAYS

CALADIUM - "Thai Beauty" - is one of the most sought after Caladium, due to its striking foliage. Originating from Thailand, it was imported into Australia a little under 20 years ago by a collector.

Stunning tropical foliage plant that has recently been re-discovered by indoor plant enthusiasts, causing it to spike in demand. Requires bright light but not direct sun. Can be grown outdoors in tropical and subtropical climates.

PLEASE NOTE, THIS PLANT WILL GO DORMANT IN WINTER, WHICH MEANS IT DIES BACK TO BULB BENEATH THE SOIL. YOU CAN LEAVE IT OR LIFT IT IF YOUR DESIRE AND REPLANT IN LATE WITNER. Must be kept away from frost.

Currently supplied with one leaf (as they have just emerged from the winter slumber, which is growing from one bulb) but can throw up between 3 and 6 plants per bulb, which will of itself reproduce and produce other bulbs as it matures.

PLEASE NOTE YOU ARE BUYING THIS PLANT ON THE CONDITION THAT YOU ARE AWARE CALADIUMS HATE TO BE POSTED, ESPECIALLY AS THE WEATHER IS WARMING UP. WHAT THIS MEANS IS THAT THE SINGLE LEAF IS HIGHLY LIKELY TO BE LIMP AND SLIGHTLY YELLOW UPON ARRIVAL. HOME OF HOUSEPLANTS TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS AND WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY REFUNDS. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IF THIS HAPPENS IS CHOP OFF THE DAMAGED LEAF, POT IT UP AND WITHIN A FEW WEEKS, THE BULB WILL RE SRPOUT AND REWARD YOU.

Plants grow up to approx. 15cm  in height, leaf size approximately 15cm in length in ideal conditions. Each plant currently measures approx 15cm in height from soil level.

LAST IMAGE IS OF A MATURE LEAF< WHIHC DISPLAYS THIS COLOURING LATER IN THE SEASON. SOME LEAVES HAVE VERY MINOR COSMETIC DAMAGE
